What is Outpost X?

Outpost X is the blog for the Student & Children’s Ministries division of Randall House, hosted by Danny Conn.

This blog will focus on matters related to youth ministry and the developing programs, ministries, curriculum, resources, etc., of SCM/RHP.

The name Outpost X recognizes the role of youth workers as guardians of the faith and front-line leaders in the spiritual conflicts of our world. The X represents the Greek letter Chi, the first letter in the name Christos (Christ), which ancient writers used as an abbreviation for His name. The X also depicts the cross, the instrument of death that has been transformed into a symbol of sacrifice, a call to service, and a testimony of promise through the sufferings of Jesus Christ.
