Intelligent Design should not be confused with Scientific or Biblical Creationism. ID theory does not conflict with Creationism, but it does not necessarily identify the intelligent designer behind ID as God the Creator. Some other unidentified intelligent alien could be the source, in fact some ID proponents even accept other theories of evolution, just not Darwinian evolution.
