When the rising popularity of a new Teacher was reported to John the Baptist, the prophet declared, “He must increase, but I must decrease” (John 3:30). This servant of God knew his role and was content to fulfill his ministry according to God’s plan. The character of humility is essential for one who is called to be a servant. May we illustrate such devotion and submission to the will of God.
The It’s Not About Me camp lessons employ this theme, drawing topics from John 1:1-39; 3:16-36. There are five lessons for each of three age groups: grades K-3 (Early Elementary), grades 4-6 (Upper Elementary), written by Kathy Murphy & Brenda Britton; and grades 7-12 (teens) written by Kristopher Greer.
