No Christmas
Considering all the efforts to remove Christ from our society,
Just imagine if history could be rewritten so that Jesus was never born.
An angel did not speak to Mary.
The virgin was not with child.
Joseph married his sweetheart and they never spent the night in a stable.
Simeon & Anna died never having seen the Messiah.
The wise men of the east never saw a star and never journeyed to find the baby king.
There was never one who walked on the water.
No one ever healed blind eyes or raised Lazarus from the dead.
Peter, James and John lived their lives as fishermen,
Matthew remained a tax-collector,
Saul of Tarsus became a Jewish high official,
but we would never have known their names.
No one ever told us about Heaven.
There would have been no promise to live with God.
There would not have been a Savior crucified on a cross.
There would have been no resurrection.
No songs about Jesus:
no Silent Night, Away in A Manger,
no Just as I Am, or Amazing Grace.
No books about Jesus:
no Pilgrims Progress or In His Steps.
Few, if any, hospitals or colleges.
No worship gatherings on the first day of the week.
No pilgrims seeking to worship God.
No nation founded on religious liberty.
No freedom from sin.
No hope, no joy, no life.
But thanks be to God, Jesus was born,
and it wasn’t kept as a secret!
The angels announced it to the shepherds,
and the shepherds announced it to the world!

Without Him there would be no BC or AD. Without Him time itself would not exist. Thank God for digital watches!
