Behold, I bring you tidings of great joy,… for unto you is born this day…a Savior.  This announcement changed the world.  No longer was mankind separated from God.  A star brightened that night sky as a sample of the Light that now shines in the darkness to show the way to God.

God took on human flesh and stepped into time to make salvation possible for all people.  His birth fulfilled the words of the prophets.  It identified Him as one of us.  His birth demonstrated the power of God.  It also proved the love of God.

God emptied Heaven of the greatest Treasure to redeem lost humanity from the penalty of sin.  We are thankful for this gift.  Our earthly Christmas gifts should remind us of the first Christmas gift. Jesus is the reason for the season.
