In typical fashion, many modern critics of Christianity reject the reliability of the Scripture. They even question the existence of the historical Jesus. In this sense they sound like those who deny the Jewish Holocaust of WWII, as if denying a historical event can erase it from history.

Even though the Bible has proven repeatedly to be the single-most reliable text regarding ancient history and the best attested ancient document, it is discounted because of its message. People may choose to not believe the Bible and the history of events in its pages, but that doesn’t change reality. A person may deny the existence of gravity, but only to his own detriment.
