Charleston NYC

November 3rd, 2007 by Danny

We had a very fruitful Pre-convention visit in Charleston. We visited ten hotels, which offer a wide range of prices to fit everyone’s budget. Some rooms will even sleep up to six. Certain hotels in South Charleston will have motor coach transportation on a regular schedule to and from the convention center.

There is a good variety of restaurants and fast food options in the downtown area, including a food court in the mall adjacent to the convention center.

Creative use of space is always an issue, but for the most part, competition venues and worship services will probably be in close proximity to each other–all under one roof. Of course, this may result in a lot of congestion in the hallways.

There are always challenges in every convention setting. We have to adapt the facilities to meet our specific needs. That’s part of the fun. Sometimes it can be compared to working a five-sided Rubik’s cube. The key to having an enjoyable convention experience is to come expecting that some things won’t be ideal, but with creativity, flexibility, and patience, most challenges can be overcome. The few that can’t just have to be endured (so grin and bear it).
