Who are you walking with?

August 20th, 2007 by Danny

I am challenged by the accounts of saints who walked with God. Noah walked with God in a world of such wickedness that God was grieved for even creating man (Gen. 6:3-9). In spite of the extreme corruption surrounding him, Noah was faithful.

Noah can be contrasted with righteous Lot who was oppressed and tormented by the wicked environment in which he dwelled (2 Pet 2:7-8; Gen. 19). Noah overcame the wickedness around him and delivered his family. Lot was overwhelmed by the wickedness and lost his family. Both men are identified as just or righteous. It appears that the difference in the influence and success of these two men is that Noah walked with God.
