Suzanne,

Thanks for the invitation. I enjoyed getting to visit with everyone at the church. I appreciate the work you are all doing.

Bro. Danny, Just wanted to say "thanks" for clearing up a lot of the questions we had regarding NYC. Some of those questions were right here on the blog. I just didn't know about it until you gave the conference on Saturday.

Thank you so much for coming - I just have to say - those that missed it just don't know what they missed!

Blessings,
Suzanne Graham

Most likely, those who want to attend the youth service will continue to do so. The numbers for the youth service will probably continue to rise steadily, but I don't expect a sharp increase.

do you think this will cause more adults to attend the teen services? i know a lot already do, but i think there might still be a little bit of a hesitancy for adults to attend since it's called the "teen service." if we say they can pay 10 bucks to get in, they might use it to justify it. not that it's a bad thing because i don't really care. i would rather attend the youth service. i just wonder if that would require us to get an even larger room for teens. you know. since adults payed $10 to attend, then technically we would have to have room for every adult that pays that fee.

weren't there like a thousand adults that registered for NYC? if every adult attended that payed the fee, we'd have to have a room big enough to hold at least 2,000, maybe more.

just a few thoughts.

Makes sense to me. We shouldn't ask the teens and children to pay for us. $10 is a small amount of money considering all the adults receive.

Derek,

Last year in Birmingham we had to be out of the main hall so the convention center could get ready for the next group coming in the next day. That forced us to use the Teen Worship room for the Awards Ceremony. There were some benefits to using that space: 1. The NYC Staff could get everything set up and be ready to begin as soon as the Adult Service was dismissed. 2. Since the room was smaller, the award recipients were closer and could get to the stage quicker. 3. We didn't have to wait until all of the uninterested adults quit talking and cleared out of the auditorium. 4. The stage & equipment in the main hall could begin to be dismantled.

We will consider all these factors and the space available for next year.

Thanks for your comments.

Brother Danny,
I think that this is a good idea. It seems to me that the adults are just as involved in coming to the services as the teens are. However, I know that this is not an entry about competition, but I was wondering why we don't have the awards on Wednesday in the main service hall. I think it would make things much easier for all those involved becasue everyone is already in that room for the Wednesday evening service.

Thanks for all you do,
Derek Altom
